We pride ourselves on being consistent and honest, big grading company’s run cards through and it’s a crapshoot on what standard you can expect that given day. at RWT it’s one person, from start to finish, with a mix of human grading and AI to assist with the ability to actually look at the card. No more AI thinks there is a issue and it was just a mark on the Lense (that has happened to me) we verify evert single aspect of the card before issuing a grade and sending it out.
Centering standards
10+ is 50/50 Front and 50/50 back
GEM Mint 9.5t 10 55/45 or better
GEM Mint9 60/40 or better
NM-MT 8.565/35 or better
NM-MT 870/30 or better
EX-MT 7.5 75/25 or better
below 7 lower than 75/25
Sub-Grade Standards
Every card starts with 100 HP in all 4 graded categories, with points taken for issues with the card.
So a card with one small print mark would have 99/100 Surface, divided by 10 gives you a 9.9 Surface. the same goes for Edges and corners. with heavy damage areas being measured and accounted for by 1 point per MM. over 5 MM automatically reduces the overall grade to 5, regardless of other subgrades.

GM10
A GM10 is a nearly flawless card, with subgrades not reaching perfect 10s. A card with perfect centering may have some corner lift, or a card with perfect conditions may not have perfect centering. these cards all present with great eye appeal and look near flawless.
GM 9.5
these cards are near flawless condition, with 2 or more small condition issues.
M9
a card with lower than 10 subgrades but still presents with good eye appeal
NM 8 a card that has some visible issues but still has good eye appeal
NM 7 better than average but has some visible issues
EXL 6 a above average card that still shows signs of wear and tear
AVG 4
This card tells a story of being traded and played as it was intended!
Poor 2
a card that has been played for years!
Poor 1
this card has lived a full life!
